Greetings, all!
Wasn't sure what my first journal entry should be. It seems so important, full of meaning. Like it defines you you are. Sort of like a first impression. So I decided the best thing to do is make an introduction of myself.
My name is Ashleigh. I am 24 years old. I am married to a friend I have known for years, Brannon. We have been married for nearly 5 years. Yeah, I'm pretty psyched about that. We have a beautiful daughter, Zoe. She is two years old and a little smart ass. Makes Mommy proud!
There isn't really much more to me than that. I live in Michigan, so, of course, I don't have a job. I'm looking though. Filling out a lot of applications. Mostly online. Much easier to do with Zoe home. But, not to worry, I'm sure I won't have a problem finding someone to watch her once I do find a job (God willing!).
Hobbies. Hmm...Well, I like to write. Most of what I write are short fanfiction stories. Yeah, I'm pretty much a geek. I also like to write poems and have a few ideas circling my head for multi-chapter fiction. Also some children's stories. I think those will be the most fun to write! I hope to get more completed soon.
I also love to scrapbook. I have quite a few scrapbooks. And tons and tons of photos. I love taking photos. Especially of my little girl. So many pictures of her! Not many of me. I'm usually behind the camera. If there's a picture of me, I usually don't like it or took it myself. My friends even have this figured out already. And I have gotten pretty good at centering the camera on myself, if I do say so!
My only pet, besides Zoe, is a Betta fish named Buddy. I got him a couple of weeks before Zoe was born and I can't believe he is still alive. I think this is the longest one of my Bettas has lived. It was my fault Butters died though. I introduced two females to the tank trying to help him get a little action and they killed him. Poor Butters. I think my first one, Betty, was over a year old. But who wants to read about my fish???
Well, I believe this is all for now. I'm sure you will find out more about me as I dig deeper into this crazy "Live Journal" adventure.
